HAPKIDO

Hapkido is an ancient and famous branch of Korean martial arts, which is considered one of the most integrated martial styles and has attracted many fans and enthusiasts all over the world and Iran.
Hapkido has also been used in various forms of self-defense and has been able to prove itself in this regard as well.
The founder of Hapkido is Grandmaster Choi Yong-sol from South Korea. He learned martial arts in Japan and returned to South Korea after World War II and began his martial arts training by combining various techniques of Korean and Japanese martial arts.

After arriving in Japan, Choi traveled alone to Osaka for 2 years. When he decided to choose his path to continue his life, he saw the pictures of martial arts on the wall and after that Takeda adopted him, he learned martial arts, and Master Choi lived in Japan for ten years. After returning to Korea, he settled in Taegu, which was a Korean club and became his home, after that he named the sport Hapkido and passed away in 1986. After him, his students formed hapkido federations, but he was only the owner of Dan Ten.
Hapkido was officially started scientifically by the father of Hapkido, Grandmaster Yong Sol (1904-1986). He had the Japanese style (Daitorio Aikido Jiujitsu), and the great master (Taki Dasukaku) was a master in the art of self-defense for forty years, in this regard, Yoshiba and Morrissey, the founder of Aikido, were students of this great master.
As mentioned, after a long time (Choi) returned to Korea from Japan, of course after the death of (Takeda) and started his studies and taught Hapkido. After that, his senior student (Ji Hanji) continued his master’s studies and established Hapkido as an official association in Korea in 1959.
Grandmaster Ji Han Ji developed Hapkido rapidly in most countries of the world and his style was registered under his name.

The main base of this martial art and the cradle of Hapkido is in South Korea, where they established Hapkido in Iran four decades ago with a lot of effort. Physically, he has a very strong body and is very physically ready. The master’s power in performing movements is soft and beautiful, and in performing self-defense techniques, he is one of the best masters in the world. The way this master performs self-defense is very beautiful and unbelievable. The late professor has good thinking and intelligence and is very accurate in presenting techniques.

Master Nejand was introduced by the honorable president of the Korean Hapkido Federation as the representative of the Middle East, since he took office, the role of Hapkido in Asia and the Middle East has played a beautiful role and the name of Master Nejand shone as the only person who has been able to take effective steps in this way.

At the age of 41, he won the veteran gold medal in the United States and won a gold medal in the world championships of South Korea in the Olympic organization and a bronze medal in fencing competitions. The high speed of the feet in the execution of individual and combined techniques was one of the distinctive features of Master Nejand. His defense techniques are remembered in many countries of the world, and all the world’s martial arts authorities are aware of his efforts and honors.

Countless generations of the sports community, directly and indirectly, had the honor of learning from him and gaining grace from him, and the sports community is indebted to the efforts of this late and eternal teacher.
Unfortunately, Grandmaster Seyyed Mehdi Najand, the head of the World Hapkido Federation, on the 27th of Bahman 1401 at the age of 56, accepted the right call and rested in the 9th place of the name of Behesht Sakine Karaj.
Their name and path are eternal and full of life.

Definitions

The word Hapkido means coordination (hop) of inner force (ki) and method (do).
Accordingly, by using these techniques, one can use the opponent’s power against oneself. In addition to various styles of martial arts, this discipline emphasizes mental and physical discipline for self-improvement.

Hap: means Unify or coordinate
ki: means mental and/or physical energy: physical/mental energy
do: means a way of life or the path or way of coordinating

Hapkido is based on three principles; Water is a circle and stable harmony.
In the principle of water, you make your movements with the fluidity of water and use energy only in the right and optimal direction, like the roar and movement of water in a river.
The principle of the circle means circularly changing the direction of energy so that your activity is kept in a ball of energy during defense or attack.
The principle of harmony means the harmony of mind and body.
Hapkido includes information on nerve-sensitive points, joint locking techniques, various throwing techniques, punches and kicks, various cold and traditional weapons, basic gymnastics and acrobatics, mixed martial arts techniques, advanced self-defense, individual and performance arts, and breaking objects, It has Zen and meditation.
